Why Dezly exists
Crochet instructions often fail in predictable ways: a step assumes knowledge the reader does not have, a count disappears between rounds, a material recommendation ignores gauge, or a roundup repeats brand language without explaining the decision. Dezly exists to produce fewer pages with stronger editorial ownership.
The publication is designed for readers who want to understand a technique and reproduce an outcome, not simply scroll through a large volume of lightly edited posts. Every guide begins with a defined question, audience, terminology system, evidence plan, and maintenance owner.
Five editorial responsibilities
Dezly assigns clear responsibility across editorial direction, amigurumi, materials, pattern standards, research, accessibility, and corrections. The five profiles on the Editors page describe those responsibilities. Article credits identify the responsibilities involved. Individual profiles are used when a contributor’s public identity and role are verified by DEZLY LLC.
Subject editors review technical content. Editorial direction reviews clarity and publication readiness. Pattern claims receive an additional evidence check. Accessibility and disclosure checks are included before release rather than added after complaints.
Advertising and commercial separation
Dezly may fund free reader access through advertising, clearly labeled affiliate relationships, and printable PDF editions sold by DEZLY LLC through an external marketplace such as Etsy. Those relationships do not purchase coverage, determine a ranking, or prevent a correction. Advertising technology is optional and remains disabled until the required consent is obtained.
Commercial links identify the seller and destination before a reader acts. When a page includes an affiliate link, gifted product, sponsorship, or another material connection, the relationship is disclosed near the recommendation in language a reader can understand.
How we publish
Dezly favors a focused library of useful pages over publishing volume. New guides are planned from reader needs and source research, then written, technically edited, visually prepared, and maintained under the standards published on this site.
Learn, Amigurumi, and Yarn & Tools organize the publication by reader need. Pattern pages include materials, defined abbreviations, construction steps, image guidance, assembly, and a clear route for reporting an issue.
Corrections, accessibility, and contact
Readers can report factual problems, unclear instructions, inaccessible interactions, commercial conflicts, or privacy concerns through the Contact page. Reports are evaluated by impact and routed to the editorial workflow responsible for the page.
Dezly aims to align its web experience with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That goal is a continuing practice rather than a claim that barriers can never occur. The Accessibility page explains current design measures and the information that helps us investigate a report.
Trust is not a badge placed on a page. It is the result of identifiable ownership, evidence proportionate to the claim, visible disclosures, and corrections that are not hidden.
