Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small values a website or third-party service stores through a browser. Local storage is a related browser feature that keeps a value for a particular site without sending it automatically with every request. This policy describes both technologies and similar identifiers.
Dezly's own preference control uses local storage, not an essential cookie. Third-party advertising services may set cookies or access other identifiers only after the relevant permission is granted and where the provider is legally permitted to do so.
Your Dezly preference record
The site stores a JSON preference under dezly_consent_v2. It records the consent version, essential status, analytics choice, advertising choice, and the time the preference was saved. The value stays on your device until you change it, clear site data, or a later version requires a new decision.
The record is necessary to respect your choice and prevent the banner from appearing on every page. It is not used to create a marketing profile.
Preference categories
| Category | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | On | Remember privacy choices, validate Turnstile contact-form tokens, support security, and deliver requested pages or form responses. |
| Analytics | Off | Permit an analytics service to measure aggregate use if Dezly configures one. |
| Advertising | Off | Permit Google AdSense to load and use the consent signals selected for ad delivery. |
Analytics
No analytics library is loaded simply because you visit the site. If analytics is configured later, the provider, purposes, important identifiers, and retention will be documented here before activation. Saving analytics permission allows the category; it does not guarantee that an analytics service is currently in use.
Advertising and Google AdSense
When advertising permission and required regional controls are in place, Dezly may load Google AdSense using the publisher account identified in the page metadata. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to dezly.co or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve and measure personalized or non-personalized ads.
Visitors can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and may opt out of some participating vendors through YourAdChoices. Google explains how it uses information from partner sites in its partner-sites notice. Exact identifiers and durations vary by region, browser, ad format, consent state, and provider configuration.
Dezly will not enable personalized ad serving in a region where Google requires a certified consent management platform until that mechanism is configured. The site's current preference panel is not represented as a Google-certified CMP.
Global Privacy Control
If the browser exposes a Global Privacy Control signal, the site keeps advertising permission disabled even if the advertising switch had previously been selected in that browser session. This supports opt-out requirements that may apply to targeted advertising or qualifying data sharing.
Change or withdraw your choice
Select Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the preference panel. Saving Essential only withdraws optional analytics and advertising permission for future activity. You can also clear storage for dezly.co through browser settings.
Removing a preference does not automatically delete identifiers already created by a third-party service. Use the provider's controls or clear the relevant browser site data when you want those values removed from the device.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to block cookies, clear site data, restrict cross-site tracking, or use private browsing. Blocking all storage may cause the privacy banner to reappear and can prevent the site from remembering your choice. Core reading pages remain available without optional storage.
Do Not Track
Browsers implement older Do Not Track signals inconsistently and there is no single response standard. Dezly gives effect to explicit preference choices and Global Privacy Control as described above.
Changes and contact
